Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a problem-solving role, covering the utilities or renewable energy industries.
  • Experience with core corporate and project finance concepts.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas such as finance, consulting, or energy project development roles.
  • Experience with databases, SQL based languages, and problem-solving tools on large datasets.
  • Knowledge of energy transaction structuring, power markets, utility rates, renewable energy, and/or infrastructure project management.

About the job

In this role, you will evaluate new energy supply and infrastructure opportunities, contribute to strategic initiatives and manage projects, and collaborate with teams across the company in support of Google data center portfolio and related infrastructure. You will focus on modeling, analytics, and presentation of our energy procurement strategy.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis (e.g., structuring, power market analysis, financial forecasting) and develop salient recommendations based on modeling.
  • Support negotiations for clean energy, energy supply, energy infrastructure, and other data center agreements.
  • Interface with a variety of team members (e.g., negotiators, portfolio managers, analytics experts, etc.) and cross-company Partner teams (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Accounting).
