Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience with EDA tools and licensing methods and agreements
  • Experience scripting in Python, Perl, or Tcl.
  • Experience working with EDA licenses (i.e., Synopsys, Cadence, Ansys).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing large budgets.
  • Experience delivering on productivity and cost savings.

In this role, you will be part of Google’s Devices and Services Silicon Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team and contribute to the development of differentiated products that combine Google AI, hardware, and software.

The charter of Silicon EngProd is to maintain and continually improve the productivity of our Silicon team who develops custom silicon chip solutions and to optimize performance and power for our use cases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000-$220,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Review and report license and compute usage trends throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Leverage this analysis to guide hardware and software procurement decisions.
  • Eliminate wasted resources using big-data analysis methods.
  • Provide methodology guidance to designers looking to achieve maximum throughput with existing resources.
  • Manage design data through the project lifecycle and archiving process.
