Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Javascript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Development experience in software controlled RF and antenna tuners.
  • Experience in the development of new features (e.g., Rel-17, NTN, and new RF designs such as DPD, mDPD, and advanced AIT).
  • Understanding of complete RF systems design: baseband, RF, and antenna propagation.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide insights on baseband modems and RF interconnection and control.
  • Lead technical discussions and designs of baseband/RFIC driven RF front end control.
  • Understand the design differences among chipset vendors to promote and set the right goals for Pixel products.
  • Work with functional leads on modem algorithms development and optimization.
  • Contribute to overall modem design optimization, from early feature enablement and verification to algorithms tuning and optimization.
