Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience building C-suite communications and assets.
  • 4 years of experience in NPI product launch, launching high-profile products/services.
  • Experience with defining programs and portfolios.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to balance multiple projects with strict timelines simultaneously.
  • Experience developing strong relationships to facilitate effective collaboration, information gathering, and strategic decision making.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. The Nest Business Program Management team leads product launches, strategic program and partner execution, and scales tools and processes while driving cross-functional work streams. As a Senior Business Program Manager, you will drive the organization’s strategic product roadmap, managing first of kind programs with a diverse group of executive stakeholders. You will own the flawless implementation and delivery of key product launches, develop cross-organization processes, trackers, and tools, and communicate regularly with executive management and cross-Google teams.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$203,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver first-class product launches across Nest’s current and forthcoming portfolio of products.
  • Lead highly visible programs, develop executional strategy, and craft an aligned and streamlined program direction and operational plan.
  • Develop end-to-end schedules, track key milestones, and create contingency plans for high-risk deliverables.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and schedules to executive management.
  • Provide technical and infrastructure expertise to enable scale across product.
