Global Environmental Health and Safety Construction Manager

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Earth Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), including construction EHS oversight and management.
- 10 years of experience in program or project management.
- 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification from Board of Certified Safety Professionals or equivalent agency.
- Experience communicating with Federal, State, and Local Authorities regarding EHS issues.
- Experience managing contractors and remote employees.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, construction, operations, and regulatory authorities.
- Experience leading large cross-functional teams to align and deliver technical projects.
- Knowledge of cloud operations, facilities management, engineering, and construction.
About the job
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $203,000-$299,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Set the strategic global plan for the Data Center Construction EHS program.
- Work with the global construction EHS team, Data Center Services Managers, and other key stakeholders to manage various construction project EHS aspects associated with new site planning, development, and expansion allowing for a more timely and thorough EHS implementation and enforcement.
- Take ownership of global construction EHS programs for data center builds, third-party data centers, offsite capital construction, and other related construction activities, and be an EHS advisor to Google stakeholders.
- Monitor global EHS trends and intervene/improve where needed.
- Manage and mentor direct reports and the wider team.
