Strategic Google Cloud Consultant, Chronicle Security
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working with SIEM software (e.g., Chronicle, Splunk, qRadar, McAfee ESM, Arcsight).
- Experience with Security tools, including SOAR technologies such as Siemplify, Splunk Phantom, or Demisto.
- Experience coding in Python, with a focus on developing against APIs.
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in security monitoring, detection engineering, or security operations.
- 2 years of experience in customer-facing Pre/Post-Sales or Technical Account Management positions within the cyber security space.
- Experience in Security Operations within the context of customer-facing roles.
- Experience with Big Data technologies, and distributed programming inclusive of logstash.
- Understanding of network protocols, secure network design, and network monitoring tools, and OS internals and hardening.
- Knowledge of CLIs, intrusion detection, incident response and forensics, and development of security tools, automation, or frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to customers adopting Chronicle SIEM for their security monitoring and operational needs and SOAR for their automated security incident and response.
- Share best practices on using Chronicle SIEM/SOAR for security operations, threat hunting, incident response, setting up cloud native architectures, and more.
- Provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring customers receive the best of what Google Cloud Security can offer and ensure that customers have the best experience in migrating, building, and modernizing their security monitoring and operations using Chronicle Security Platform.
- Work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud Security products and features.
