Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in technology, business development, or other entrepreneurial partnerships environments.
- Experience in Strategic Partner management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in computer science, information technology, or cyber security.
- Experience at a Saas Company or advancing security or other online safety tool adoption.
- A proven track record of being able to influence and lead cross-functional collaborations with product and engineering teams.
- Ability to identify new growth and revenue opportunities through the analysis of internal and external data sources, as well as understanding industry trends.
- Passion for scaling internal products and systems to external customers while being able to prioritize internally with executive cross-functional stakeholders.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
Research and Core Partnerships Team Mission: Drive innovative research and solve fundamental problems in technology at scale through inclusive and sustainable strategic partnerships.
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, on Research and Core, you'll empower and enable project teams by understanding their mission, identifying partners, initiating relationships, negotiating agreements and serving as a strategic resource to advance the organization’s objections. You'll contribute excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to clarify complex issues, and attention to detail. You will influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management, including executives.
You will work on building collaborations with critical users and build strong relationships in our developer ecosystem. Additionally, you will serve as the global lead on Core Pillar initiatives to ensure consistency across the product are while flexing to meet the needs of internal product area clients.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$188,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Identify and lead exploratory discussions with partners and negotiate and close strategic partnerships, including sponsorships.
- Develop strategic partnerships to drive a positive impact between the Core product area and its users.
- Create written communications and presentations with messages effectively tailored to different audience levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop partner strategy and collaboration plans for the Core product area leadership team.
- Invest in understanding the complex customer needs amidst local and global regulatory headwinds and to provide thought leadership and execute partnerships under tight timelines
