Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequencies, Electromagnetics, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with designing De-sense or EMC for Consumer Electronics
Experience with RF interference mitigation, factory processes, and manufacturing
Experience with different wireless communication systems (e.g., GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE/NR, 802.11, Bluetooth, GNSS, etc.) and equipment operation

Preferred qualifications:

Experience leading Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), identifying and tracking risks, and collaborating with the teams to identify and solve a diverse set of technical challenges
Experience with Test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, C++, Java, MATLAB)
Knowledge of international EMC regulations, compliance requirements, standards (FCC/CISPR, IEC/EN, ETSI), and test methodologies
Knowledge of spectrum operation and/or near field scanning for noise root cause analysis
Knowledge of RF and ANT design, De-sense regarding RF coexistence, and simulation tools
Knowledge of De-sene and EMC debug techniques, and the ability to accurately perform emissions and immunity testing

Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

Google Engineers develop the technologies that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a member of a creative, motivated and talented team, you will develop new products that are used by people.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional teams to solve over-the-air de-sense issues including all wireless technologies (e.g., 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, GSM, WLAN, BT, RSE, and/or GNSS).
Be familiar with hardware schematics design, providing appropriate De-sense and EMC solutions across each hardware function.
Execute De-sense and EMC validation, troubleshooting related issues without any impact on the product schedule.
Be responsible for PCB layout review at each development stage.
Work closely with key part vendors to drive the De-sense/EMC performance, including Display, Camera, Fingerprint Sensor, etc.
