Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 13 years of experience working in national politics, government, think tanks, non-profit, or corporate public policy.
  
• Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in politics, public advocacy or the private sector’s government affairs field with knowledge and experience in strategic policies on advanced technologies and economic security.
  
• Knowledge of the technology sector or challenges impacting the internet. Knowledge of the cyber security policy context and geopolitical policy context for Japan.
  
• Ability to work well as part of a team, including leading campaigns and mentoring team members.
  
• Ability to write and translate complex issues into a language suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and presentation skills.
