Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 14 years of experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, technology industry groups, or companies on issues around technology policy.
- 14 years of experience working on policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, law, or relevant industry associations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in and with government and switching between subject matter, types of projects, and responsibilities.
- Experience advising and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on policy strategies.
- Knowledge of current and emerging public policy trends relating to online content platforms and technology generally.
- Understanding of YouTube’s primary product offerings and their intersection with the public policy environment.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with great judgment and collegiality.
- Ability to communicate in English and French fluently.
