Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or quantitative analysis related fields.
- Experience in Programming and SQL.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), accounting processes and terminology, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
- Ability to identify process gaps and highlight process improvement opportunities.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
The team oversees global programs through planning, performing, and maintaining annual risk assessments; testing controls, evaluating control deficiencies, and tracking remediation to completion. The team works cross-functionally across all business and product areas and in coordination with the external auditor and strive to leverage technology to deliver all facets of the program without compromising quality.
The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify process improvement/automation opportunities, drive effective SDLC processes, and deliver automation roadmaps.
- Maintain and enhance current automation solutions for risk assessment, scoping, testing, quality assurance processes to strengthen risk management and streamline program activities.
- Design and implement new automation and risk mitigation solutions to address data and analytics problems, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging new technologies where possible.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable self-serve reporting tools and other infrastructure enhancements to monitor and report on program metrics and results, providing visibility and insights.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, identify gaps, reconcile conflicts, and decompose information into details to drive decision-making.
