About the job
As a Data Analytics apprentice at Google, you will develop the skills you need to pursue an entry-level career in data analytics.
You will develop working knowledge of essential data analysis skills and have practice using platforms such as spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau, and R programming. You will also gain a deep understanding of when to use these skills within the data lifecycle and how they translate to different business units solving issues with data. You will deliver on customer or internal business objectives by helping to measure impact against goals, design tests and experiments, and conduct quantitative and qualitative research. You will work cross-functionally to customize analyses based on stakeholder feedback and present findings using written and verbal communication.
Apprentices are paid hourly for their time split between on-the-job training and related technical instruction, and are required to dedicate 40 hours each week to the program. Apprenticeships begin with an immersive virtual onboarding experience to build a foundational understanding of the profession. Apprentices will then join a Google team to train on-the-job, while continuing to engage in track-specific learnings and career workshops throughout the program. As part of the program, apprentices receive holistic career readiness support, and towards the end of the program will have the time and space to prepare for their next endeavor.
