Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Experience in using agile methodologies, tooling and product delivery.
  • Experience in technology and technical depth to uncover root causes of complex technical problems and provide guidance on solving them.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the engineering team to work together as a cohesive unit.

In this role, you will power up Bring Your Own ID (BYOID) capability for users which is a transformational Google Cloud Platform (GCP) effort that introduces a whole new way that users sign-in and authorize to GCP.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design services and capabilities in the GCP Identity ecosystem.
  • Write robust, reliable, efficient, and testable software. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices. Contribute to the overall efficiency, reliability, and productivity of the engineering team through code, process enhancements, and software development workflow improvements.
  • Train other team members on architecture and design techniques, coding standards, security/privacy/engineering best practices, and debugging complex system interactions.
  • Communicate complex technical and security concepts to cross-functional stakeholders. Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management and program management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide thought leadership in emerging new areas, such as identity federation and account security and implement technical and security strategies.
