Software Engineer, Tool Development, Pixel

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• Experience in web or mobile application development or software systems.
  
• Experience in developing web projects including backend, frontend, database layers, and building user interfaces and experiences.
  
• Ability to break down tasks and deliver subtasks independently.
  
• Interest in and ability to learn other coding languages.
  
• Excellent teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java-based, Android-based and web solutions to optimize the factory production process.
  
• Work closely with teams across Pixel products on designs, features and UX improvements.
  
• Participate in the design of experiments in factories.
  
• Investigate production issues and work with the team to improve the solution for the long term.
  
• Maintain a high quality, performance, and reliability bar for the application our team develops.
