Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in technical program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with full product life cycle software testing in consumer hardwares, mobile devices, or other smart devices.
  • Experience in driving cross-site/team projects and working with various perspectives.
  • Experience in Test frameworks, Test Methodologies, Automated Testing, and User workflows of Pixel, Pixel Buds and Watch functions.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity to provide detailed data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Pixel devices bring Android, Google Hardware, AI, and first-party Apps and experiences to Google users. The Pixel testing team is responsible for the quality of Pixel phones, watches, and wearable devices. The team drives many testing programs to support new product releases and in-market devices.

As a Technical Program Manager, in Pixel Testing, you will drive cross-functional product quality programs primarily in the areas of system power, thermal performance, and battery life. You will work with senior test engineering leaders, managers, engineering leads to help launch high-quality product deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support for Pixel product quality programs in Power, Thermal, Performance, Storage, and Battery charging.
  • Understand testing, various testing types, test automation, and implementation paths in order to execute programs.
  • Coordinate across multiple testing teams and cross-functional development teams to align release timelines, test schedules, and milestones, and set clear expectations about responsibilities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and scale test programs by defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and ensuring successful on-time delivery.
  • Build partnerships to drive process improvements and efficiencies that lead to better quality and increased productivity, and keep goals for programs, projects, and products attainable within a given timeline.
