Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience producing documentation for a technical audience.
- 2 years of experience in programming.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience in documenting and using APIs or API standards such as OpenAPI.
- Experience writing across a spectrum of content types including conceptual, task or user-journey oriented, troubleshooting, and reference.

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.

Responsibilities
- Develop empathy for our customers in their workflows, needs, and issues.
- Craft content by translating user needs into written documentation and also through alternative content forms such as video and interactive tutorials.
- Plan and develop content for Apigee API hub that provides a central platform for organizing, comparing, searching, and managing an organization's internal and external APIs. Participate in all phases of UX development, planning and writing multiple types of UX content from tips and feature descriptions to interactive tutorials.
