Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Geospatial, Apps, Ads, and Tech industries.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Japanese with local and international stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and geographies throughout the organization and cross-functionally as well as support external partners.
  • Ability to collaborate and harmonize with team members to achieve outstanding results.
  • Ability to navigate partnerships through uncertainty and engage at a granular level to unblock issues.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally.

Geo's mission is to power the most helpful, trusted, and innovative digital representation of the real world for the user ecosystems we serve. We will pursue this mission globally, with opportunities across the Asia Pacific region to improve the lives of users. Geo is dependent upon a wide range of external partnerships across areas such as data licensing, strategic partnering, value exchange agreements, Application programming interface (API)/Software Development Kits (SDK) licensing and technology licensing. Japan is critical in achieving Geo's mission and the opportunity to drive the market for delivering against our stated partnership goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead partnership negotiations and manage relationships and integrations with strategic partners (e.g., cultivate developer opportunities, drive sustainability efforts and enhance consumer programs for Japan).
  • Manage implementation and ongoing operations of strategic partnerships, including executive escalations.
  • Understand the full scope of partners businesses and strategic objectives to maximize the potential of existing partnerships.
  • Drive the development of strategic and quantitative market analyses to identify and prioritize business opportunities for Geo’s product missions across APAC, particularly within Japan.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders (e.g., product, engineering, sales, legal, Public Relations (PR) etc.), and work with cross-functional leadership to define, present, launch, and drive critical partnerships and organizational initiatives.
