Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
  • 2 years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Experience with front end languages (e.g., TypeScript or JavaScript).
  • Experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management, technical stakeholder management, and non-technical stakeholder management.
  • Experience with database design and querying, especially with an RDBMS (e.g., Spanner, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Experience with API design.
  • Experience with front end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or similar).
  • Experience with web technologies (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, HTML, CSS, XML).

We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration, and more).

We are a team of full-stack Web Solutions Engineers in gUP Engineering building custom solutions to support the gUP organization and our wider partners across gTech. You will assist with web applications that will enhance and centralize many individual supplier management workflows across gTech, powering the work of planning, delivery tracking, acceptance measurement, and cost diligence for all of gUP’s growing operations footprint. You will assist with web applications for human-labeling of end user feedback. We ensure that feedback is sent to the correct team and is helpful in understanding user needs. You will work on the core of the Product Experts system, which calculates the points, rankings, and allows management of volunteers who help users in Google support forums.

In this role, you will work closely with other engineers and a wide, cross-functional team including product and program management, UX, data engineering, and other engineering partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack web applications with a backend language of Java, a frontend framework of Angular Typescript, a Spanner database, CSS styling, and other dependencies as needed.
  • Develop on the full stack of our projects, including frontend, backend, and database schema design/management.
  • Build unit tests and integration tests as needed to create effective, well-tested web applications.
  • Communicate effectively both inside and outside the team, research solutions, and ask for help when blocked.
  • Apply agile software techniques to manage delivery timelines and stakeholder expectations.
