About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

In this role, you will work with a dedicated team of Googlers and vendor partners to coordinate and deliver day-to-day activities for our internal assurance and contracting operations procedures. You will work to help our customer-facing teams close critical agreements whilst observing our policies, while ensuring the controls we rely upon for financial reporting are operating as intended.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as on-site manager of all Internal Compliance and Assurance activities, leading a team of both internal and external partners to deliver work products.
  • Identify risks and controls within the Google Cloud segment and periodically test their design and effectiveness, delivering regular reporting to company officers.
  • Manage and ensure delivery of periodic program activities, including risk assessments, narrative refresh, and control attestations and walk throughs.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for day-to-day contracting operations, including policy queries, agreement execution delays, and non-standard signature requests.
