Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in analytics or data scientists, management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory roles.
  • Experience writing SQL queries, working with multiple data sets, to generate reporting/insights.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in management consulting firm or similar project management in a strategy function for software, internet, media industries or early stage companies.
  • Experience with executive stakeholder management and conversations, both internal and external.
  • Experience in service operations, customer support operations, and internet/online media.
  • Ability to work in high-performing teams, leading operational and cross-functional projects independently.
  • Excellent project management, problem solving/analysis, written/verbal communication, and people management skills.

About the job

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

In this role, you will lead business analytics efforts to support gTech Ads executive leadership decision making. You will be responsible for simplifying business operations through deep operational insights, scalable dashboarding solutions using existing infra. Additionally, you will use data analytics to inform gTech Ads strategies around operational/service design, service improvements, and goal setting.

You will develop solutions to complex, ambiguous and high visibility business challenges. You will work independently on complex strategic projects. Additionally, you will influence executives and cross-functional leaders using data and insights for improved customer experience and business outcomes.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the gTech Ads organization to understand business needs around running day to day operations. Convert these needs into customer data/insight solutions that help leaders make informed decisions.
  • Partner closely with tech partners like gAPT to inform tech infra improvements and collaborate on key strategic/analytics projects.
  • Support business performance in-depth searches. Clearly identify drivers for growth and efficiency, to help inform relative prioritization of specific execution levers.
  • Conduct repeatable and ad-hoc analyses to measure and interpret business trends.
  • Set goals for different operating teams, manage the data analytics and reporting of the overall business operations performance.
