Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: data center/network/server infrastructure, supply chain operations, cloud operations.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Ability to manage issues and evolving changes in the areas of software design, integration, and infrastructure.

In this role, you will enable a delightful capacity experience for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers. You will drive the industry-wide adoption of this new paradigm. You will also enable growth by planning for capacity demand of the GCP customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical lead for the Horizon team and collaborate with broader cloud capacity planning teams to define the technical roadmap for the capacity planning products often spanning multiple teams and functions.
  • Lead design and development of capacity planning system towards our mission of providing delightful customer capacity experience.
  • Lead the rollout of capacity planning capabilities for AI/ML and Generative AI offerings that are being rapidly launched to GCP customers.
  • Partner and collaborate with capacity planners, related engineering teams and product management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Drive design and code reviews.
