Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.
  • Experience in Search, information retrieval.
  • Experience in developer tooling products and open source developer frameworks like Langchain and Llamaindex.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Experience in communicating about technical concepts to developers, customers, senior leaders.
  • Experience in building search/IR applications for commerce.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Vertex AI Search team within Google Cloud, works on next generation search powered by and powering Generative AI. In this time of Generative AI, Search is more important than ever. High quality Search powers applications like agents, search engines, retrieval augmented generation, digital assistants, recommendation systems, multimodal information retrieval, and more. In this role, you will join an exceptional team to help further strengthen our search platform for developers. You will drive the strategy and create products that enable developers to build highly performant, fully customizable, enterprise-ready search, information retrieval, and Generative AI applications in an easy and developer friendly way. You will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, developer experience, ecosystem, go-to-market strategy, and community building around these products

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand markets, competition, and customer requirements in depth.
  • Create strategy and roadmap for multiple developer facing products.
  • Work closely with lead customers to validate and land successful solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, developer relations, legal, UX, and other teams.
  • Contribute to overall Vertex Search strategy.
