Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with local stakeholders in this customer-facing role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience with server and client performance optimizations and infrastructure supporting high-traffic, complex applications.
- Proficiency in C++, with an understanding of web client infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
- Basic knowledge of browser rendering lifecycles, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Familiarity with Chrome DevTools and related web technologies for UI rendering.

In this role, you will join a team that owns the underlying infrastructure that ensures Search developers have the tools they need to build next-generation AI-driven experiences. We are driving innovation through improvements in our web and backend services, performance optimization, and server-side rendering, as well as managing some of the most complex scalability challenges at Google.

Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code and review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Contributing to the design and development of full-stack solutions, utilizing your skills in Java, C++, UI rendering, server-side optimizations, and infrastructure performance.
