Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with designing and implementing cloud-based solution architectures for PaaS, IaaS, or SaaS.
  • 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Developer, Systems Engineer, Developer Operations (DevOps) Tool Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or Virtualization Architect.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently in order to interact in this customer-facing sales role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the business technology market and working closely with Sales and Marketing teams in Cloud Computing or related technical fields.
  • Experience with the current infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL.
  • Experience with one or more of the following areas: Big Data, Machine Learning, Database Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Application Development, or Networking.
  • Experience or knowledge of manufacturing (e.g., assembly, process or automotive industry) business and IT environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire customers and peers to solve difficult problems with novel solutions. Work with sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Own the technical relationship with Google’s enterprise customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources to provide expertise in solutions architecture.
  • Recommend integration strategies, hybrid architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a solution using best practices on Google Cloud. Influence complex technical implementation patterns via customer reference.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in Google Cloud computing across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision makers.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to the product and engineering teams, and influence product direction.
