Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in content policy, anti-abuse and reviewing online content.
  • Experience working with international issues across multiple geographies, including freedom of expression, child safety or online controversial content.
  • Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend hours.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with SQL and spreadsheet softwares and using data to drive strategy and business action.
  • Experience in creating and executing enforcement strategies to combat Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
  • Experience with identifying abuse trends or working in news or policy.
  • Experience in project management on cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent organizational, people management, and project management skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

As a Policy Enforcement Manager for Child Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring that we constantly grow our understanding of trends and risks to child safety on YouTube. This includes understanding how dangerous individuals operate on the internet to help us prevent or remove that content as fast as possible. You will help implement and enforce our policies across millions of videos and other surfaces, as well as define and implement operational plans globally, working with stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Policy and Legal teams.

In this role, you will review graphic, controversial, and offensive content including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in line with YouTube’s community guidelines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Research and stay up to date on key trends and operating patterns creating a child safety threat. Analyze, identify, prioritize, and deliver strategies to reduce potentially harmful content.
  • Implement strategies on the YouTube platform, working with cross-functional partners.
  • Track and monitor performance towards key metrics, deliver and implement improvement strategies.
  • Manage escalations with fast turn-around time to define the best plan and implement quickly. Provide timely updates to executives.
