Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, Reliability Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a HVAC, electrical, controls, water chemistry, generators, mechanical, or other similar technical domain.
- 4 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering.
- 8 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- 3 years of experience in supervising.
- Experience in reliability centered maintenance and engineering.
- Experience in communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Ability to forecast resource requirements in data-driven ways.

As an Area Site Operations Manager, you will manage a team that is deeply involved in nearly every aspect of colocation operations of our electrical, cooling, and information technology infrastructure. You will partner with Google data center engineering, engineering field service, network infrastructure and third party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability and reliability. In this role, you will be responsible to ensure your team is the represent of the operations organization, and will be responsible to ensure operability, maintainability and reliability are critical criteria for Google assets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,000-$223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage a team of technical operations managers supporting across north america through the successful completion of required maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to maintain equipment to our global standard.
- Support site selection process through operational and technical knowledge.
- Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party colocation sites.
- Own colocation sites facility operation within an area/region, with full accountability for this area tactically and strategically.
- Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss strategic decisions and directions with them.
