Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of consumer product marketing experience.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering to develop GTM strategies and align on hero features.
- Passion for consumers and consumer experiences, with a demonstrated ability to utilize consumer insights and data to improve the customer experience
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage simultaneous projects across multiple internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to process analysis to simple communications.
- Experience working in digital entertainment or gaming, and on loyalty programs.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directing their projects in an unstructured environment.
About the job
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will shape the go-to-market strategy for feature launches, landing key moments and helping influence the road-map. From positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you’ll help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. Effective partnership with internal cross-functional teams is critical in this role. You’ll be working closely with Product, Engineering, Business Development, Merchandising, Developer Marketing, Brand and more.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive GTM strategies, land key launch moments and influence product road-map.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify target audience and messaging opportunities.
- Craft compelling product messaging and positioning, and recommendations for product improvements based on user insights and market analysis.
- Ensure alignment and execution of marketing initiatives.
