Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of Technology Pre-Sales Management experience or Partner Technology Management experience.
- 15 years of experience managing partnerships and building technology go-to-market alliances.
- 10 years of experience leading APAC-wide Technology Pre-Sales or Partner Technology teams.
- 10 years of experience managing teams (manager of managers).
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- 20 years of experience in a regional role in key areas across the IT industry, and private/public cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS markets.
- Experience in large-scale, global alliances.
- Ability to influence across subregional and functional teams to deliver quality business outcomes.
- Ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

As Director of Partner Engineering, you will have a highly visible leadership role and will lead and manage teams to drive growth within Google Cloud. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of how technology is used in the workplace. You will utilize your excellent leadership and communication skills to serve as a trusted advisor to help customers and clients realize business potential from Google Cloud via Google Cloud’s partners. You'll develop and drive technology relationships with a priority group of our most important partners, establishing deep technical integrations, business relationships, and ensuring delivery against business performance goals with our partners.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional peers to develop a robust partner strategy and be responsible for building and managing a team of Partner Engineering Managers, Industry Ecosystem Partner Engineers, Technology Ecosystem Partner Engineers, and ISV Partner Engineers. This will include implementation against the broader partnership strategy through building relationships, negotiating partnership agreements and developing a joint go-to-market approach. You will manage a diverse set of stakeholders ranging from Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Leadership teams to ensure alignment with Google Cloud’s ongoing evolution and broader business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Be the accountable owner responsible for leading the team to deliver measurable outcomes, drive business growth, and technological advances.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, and develop compelling value propositions. Structure complex agreement scenarios that may incorporate a sell-to or sell-with scenario involving multiple parties.
- Engage with teams to align product directions with our external partners. Work with peer teams to establish partner priorities that will determine recruiting and partner development focus.
- Help partners leverage Google's technology to enhance their offerings, integrate with them to fill gaps in and extend our product portfolio, and help land these partnerships with enterprise customers, and sales.
- Be the executive point of contact for strategic partners and drive new partnerships, support integration of new products to existing partners, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of daily business challenges.
