Minimum qualifications:

- 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with designing and implementing security and privacy controls.
- Experience in compliance programs and audits.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and audit frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills.
About the job
In the Bets Compliance Assurance and Independence role, you will be a subject matter expert in national and global compliance directives to ensure adherence across Google’s global suite of hardware and software products with a focus on our Moonshots - also called Bets. You will balance Google’s legal and compliance requirements with our users’ needs, and our company’s values. You will make sure that when Google pursues a product or technology, we do it in compliance with relevant directives, such as industry and audit standards.
In this role, you will manage audit and independence programs, ensure compliance assurance, ensure timely completion of related activities, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with Bets, product teams and our compliance ecosystem, ensuring we are audit-ready and meet the company’s objective to leverage assurance as a business enabler competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Support compliance during Bets' independence programs.
- Participate in the planning, readiness and audit execution phases, including scoping, risk assessment, preparation of documentation, control re-validation, and support of audit programs performed by external auditors.
- Assess and advise stakeholders on independence-related compliance risks, controls, and issues identified during audits.
- Coordinate, manage, and facilitate processes to address auditor’s inquiries, activities, and requests effectively and timely.
- Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to stakeholders across the company.
