About the job
As the Director, Fleet Management, Server Operations, you will be primarily responsible for leading the analytical and capacity functions within the ServerOps organization. You will be bringing teams together across Google to achieve this goal. You will manage efforts to efficiently manage Google’s substantial investment in server infrastructure. You will be expected to lead through strategy, but also be both internally and externally to achieve our desired results. There is a rich operations aspect to this role, which requires deep engagement and oversight; as a result, you will partner with engineering, product, flow, operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective and scalable capacity to support their development and product roadmaps.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
