Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture, including database administration and solutions, in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience architecting solutions for data transformation, migration, governance strategies, availability, or disaster recovery.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of database systems, including Oracle, RDBMS, operational databases, and data warehouses.
  • Experience building strategic business partnerships with partners and customers in an architecture or solution delivery role.
  • Experience with third party solutions in database technologies, PL/SQL development, administration/management tools, database performance tuning techniques, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical sales or consulting experience in systems integration, data transfer/management, database performance, disaster recovery, data backup strategies, database automation tools, and DevOps.
  • Understanding of cloud-based database architectures and deployments (Google Cloud Platform, Oracle), migrating applications and services, and networking and security familiarity.

You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Specialist Partner Engineer specialized in Data Management, you will work closely with Partner Development Managers and Partner Engineers to grow and support the Google Cloud Data Management partner ecosystem. Specialist Partner Engineers understand the technical solutions and capabilities of our partners and are in the best position to recommend the right partner to our customers.

In this role, you will lead all the Data Management efforts to enable partners with deep technical knowledge in data management and database technologies and solutions. You will contribute to customer adoption of Google Cloud by supporting partners as they illustrate how Google Cloud Data Management services can help customers innovate, bring their services to market faster, differentiate from competitors, and create new business growth streams. You will help partners succeed in database migrations to Google Cloud, supporting application migration and deployment, ensuring they have full access to Google Cloud’s artifacts, tools, templates, and best practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $181,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Enable partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations and guiding customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environment(s). Support partners developing solutions, ensuring the best use of Google Cloud.
  • Recommend and review integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Work with Partner Managers and Partner Engineers to identify and recruit partners in the market that can deliver innovative and complete solutions to our customers. Onboard partners to the Marketplace and empower them to drive successful pilots, proofs of concept, and production workloads.
  • Build technical assets, collaborate with partners to develop Google Cloud-specific solution documentation, joint technical articles, webinars, whitepapers, and demos with ISV products.
  • Scale customer wins through partners by promoting the partner with account teams and developing deep relationships.
