Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in a problem-solving environment (e.g., financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, or investment banking.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in partnering with executive leadership and motivating impact.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to motivate insights.
  • Excellent business judgment, leadership skills, with ability to communicate and engage with executive management.
  • Excellent investigative and technical (e.g., Financial Modelling/SQL/Data Viz) skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

The Google Customer Solutions (GCS) Finance team partners with business and cross-functional leadership to provide problem solving insights and recommendations on key business decisions. We are responsible for core operations such as forecasting and budgeting, and act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on topics such as business performance, risks and opportunities, market acceleration plans and resource allocation.

In this role, you will partner with the Global AppDev (GCS) leadership to build the future of the App Developers digital ecosystem. You will motivate projects and initiatives for Financial Planning and Analysis and support cross-functional projects and initiatives. You will partner with others in finance, business, business operations and strategy in country, regional and global teams. You will develop and execute financial analysis or components of financial analysis such as gap analysis or driver model for an assigned area of the business.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate business strategy across the AppDev Business. Define financial analysis objectives and needs for your area of the business, and prioritize activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on business performance and finance related priorities. Provide management with clear insights and recommendations and interact regularly to motivate business growth enhancing business and product actions.
  • Lead problem-solving in partnership with Finance and cross functional partners, bring clarity to the problems.
  • Communicate by clearly and confidently conveying a message by simplifying solutions/calculations.
