Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • 7 years of experience in leading social marketing analytics and running real-time listening rooms in industries such as tech, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), retail, telco.
  • Experience with the latest social analytics methodologies especially AI enabled workflows.
  • Ability to think through complex problems.
  • Ability to do structured problem-solving with acute insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface with C-suite and to communicate cross-functionally.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Google India Social Marketing team is motivated to find the best ways for our brands to resonate in culture and engage with our audiences beyond traditional media. Our goal is to create unbreakable consumer relationships while empowering our audiences to speak about us in ways that are authentic, resonant, and ultimately, impactful to our business.

In this role, you will lead the goal and strategy for measurement and insights for all of Google’s product areas across our social owned and operated channels. You will be the single point team expert on all social platforms, with subject matter expertise in building AI powered social listening workflows, driving social-first insights from content performance and understanding how each of the social platforms deliver outcome metrics. You will directly work with the social editorial and creative content team, feeding back relevant trends, taking content live and closing the measurement loop to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Build our social listening capabilities, to make it more real-time, AI enabled across the entire social content lifecycle.
  • Consult and provide strategic expertise for all our product area marketing teams (e.g. Search, Pixel, Gemini etc), framing and translating business questions into appropriate social investigative studies and reports.
  • Work separately and with agencies to run deep social-first insights on our content performance, by leveraging the best of our AI capabilities in listening, monitoring and measurement.
  • Work fluidly with social creative teams and agencies on social first transformation for Google India by modernizing the approach to social across organic, paid social, and influencer strategy.
  • Manage social agency relationships, vendors and also build a playbook for measurement and insights to inspire partner agencies and use as a lighthouse for our regional teams.
