Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
- 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
- Experience with Generative AI tools and platforms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related technical field.
- Experience working with ad technical products (e.g., Ad Server, Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), and Web Analytics) with an understanding of engineering solutions built for scale.
- Experience working in the ad space - first party data on-boarding and activation, measurement and data modeling, video and search advertising.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
- Excellent project management, people management and leadership skills with the ability to formulate data-driven proposals.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will develop innovative solutions to the business problems faced by GCS advertisers. You will have the unique opportunity to leverage your wide-ranging experience and skill-set to identify trends and develop groundbreaking new solutions to reach thousands of advertisers and drive business goals.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to understand their objectives and challenges, identify technical gaps, and surface opportunities for solution reuse or innovations.
- Design and implement solutions that meet client needs and are compliant with data and legal policies.
- Identify and build a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be used by Google Customer Solutions (GCS) customers globally.
- Leverage engineering skills to design and scale complex, cross-product customized solutions to be rolled out to thousands of customers globally.
- Gather requirements, provide guidance, best practices and innovative solutions to apply ad products and technologies and drive customer and business goals. Be responsible for experimenting with new technologies to develop solutions and support existing Google products.
