Principal Engineer - ServiceNow

Who You'll Work With

McKinsey’s Tech Ecosystem function is responsible for developing and delivering all technology solutions for the firm’s internal use. We are taking cloud-first approach to develop digital solutions across the firm.
You will shape and accelerate the delivery of service-based solutions on ServiceNow platform. You will build our solutions on the platform that enhances our capability to build great service-based products. You’ll be a member of a team in one of our global technology hubs (Bengaluru or Gurugram).

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for Technical Solution aspect of ServiceNow implementations specific to design, solution architecture, functional implementation of Enterprise Service Management Ecosystem. You will recommend and create ServiceNow Design/Build/Manage solutions for configuration and administration of ServiceNow tool in conjunction with other methods and tools in the eco-system.
You will demonstrate expertise in overall ServiceNow Platform and product lines in IT, HR and Customer Workflows. You will also be part of an effort to build next-gen solutions on ServiceNow to enable our Enterprise colleagues to leverage solutions built on market leading SaaS platforms.
You will provide over all technical leadership for the team and ensuring that all designs created by the team is aligned to the architecture principles of ServiceNow and should be reusable, reliable, and adaptive.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience with bachelor's/master's degree from college/university in business related or technology related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in delivering ServiceNow solutions across multiple products such as GRC, Security, ITOM, ITBM or ITSM, SAM, CSM, HRSD, Portal etc.
  • Higher level ServiceNow certifications in one or two products
  • ServiceNow hands-on experience implementing at least two product lines
  • Very strong technical skills with a proven record of strong architecture & design experience
  • Have knowledge of programming/scripting languages and of web-based protocols (e.g. Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML)
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in all facets of software development life cycle like analysis, design, development, data conversion, data security, system integration and implementation
  • Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Configures the ServiceNow platform during sprints while sharing knowledge and best practices with platform administrators
  • Design and communicate a Technical Architecture Blueprint based on Capability and Process Implementation Roadmaps aligning to desired business outcomes
  • Proficient in cloud-native architectures, data security and integration services
  • Proficient in building large scale systems, developer tools, CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring tools and engineering SaaS based solutions
  • Be entrepreneurial, analytical, structured, service-oriented, creative, and an initiator
  • Collaborative - able to build strong relations that enable robust debate and survive periodic disagreements regarding priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audience
