Senior Executive Assistant with German
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of our Global Administration team. This team is passionate about delivering exceptional administrative, organizational, and logistical support. They enable our colleagues and our firm to operate efficiently and fulfill its purpose to help create positive, enduring change in the world.
Based in our McKinsey Global Services office in Lisbon you will work with consultants, function leaders, external vendors, peer assistants, and other colleagues across the globe on tasks with international reach. You will support managers and partners who are based in other offices than yours and collaborate with your team of assistants onsite in Lisbon, working in a hybrid model.
What You'll Do
You will proactively manage calendar and travel end-to-end, resolve conflicts and make confident decisions on supported colleagues’ behalf and you will prioritize own tasks without guidance.
You will build effective and collaborative relationships with ecosystem of your supported colleagues (e.g., leadership, relevant internal/external groups) and leverage these to deliver on your daily tasks. You will serve as liaison/representative to your supported colleagues’ clients, client assistants, internal colleagues, other assistants and departments and whenever possible you will facilitate building of and managing supported colleagues’ client relationships. You will coordinate/lead activities of a small team of peers or more less experienced colleagues if needed. You will have the opportunity to contribute to and shape a vibrant and collaborative community by coaching, mentoring, and onboarding junior colleagues and peers. Additionally, you will actively participate in local and firm-wide initiatives and as well as in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—in English and German (C1 level - CEFR or equivalent)
- University degree not a must
- Minimum 3+ years previous administrative experience
- Professional commitment to client service/orientation
- Has high level of attention to detail and confidentiality
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change, exhibiting agility, flexibility, and adaptability
- Proactive and confident in taking initiative
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
