Learning Specialist

Who You'll Work With

McKinsey & Company’s People Applications, Systems, and Enablement team designs, implements, and supports seamless digital experiences across core talent processes in support of McKinsey’s people mission: to build a great firm that attracts, develops, excites, and retains exceptional people. This team works collaboratively with colleagues across the firm’s Tech Ecosystem, and in close partnership with the People Analytics and Measurement team to ensure an end-to-end view from data to products to end users.
You will work in one of our North American offices or in Canada.

What You'll Do

Your work will serve a variety of internal clients, including the Chief People Officer, People Function Leadership, the Development Council, Tech Ecosystem Leadership, Regional and Office leadership, key initiatives and taskforces, Professional Development, HR & Talent, Recruiting colleagues, and other communities within the firm.
You will primary be responsible for providing end to end learning support for the team. This includes working with team leadership to assess skills gaps and learning needs, developing a learning strategy, creating the learning curriculum in partnership with others (e.g., technical experts, Learning function), selecting / developing learning programs as needed, coordinating the delivery of learning programs (in person and virtual), and supporting individual colleagues as they progress.
You will work with the broader Learning community to leverage existing content and programs, as well as with people leaders to tailor learning content directly to the needs of the team. You will also partner with the broader Tech Ecosystem to ensure appropriate calibration around skills and learning for similar roles (e.g., Product Manager roles).
In addition, you will support several other areas, including delivering on the team’s recruiting needs, ensuring efficient onboarding of new colleagues, working closely with leadership to drive an effective performance review process, and working closely with our Talent Management Team to ensure accurate role descriptions, skills definitions, as well as clearly defined development pathways for this space.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of learning, recruiting, and/or professional development experience, ideally in a professional services environment
  • Solid understanding of learning program design and delivery
  • Familiarity with core recruiting and evaluation processes, ideally in a professional services environment
  • Interest in people analytics, product development, or related fields

A reasonable estimate of the range for new joiners for this role in the United States is $124,500 - $171,200. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's assigned office location, experience and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey’s discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
