Who You'll Work With
You will report directly to the Communication Manager of Adoption & Change for Global Visual Graphics and Media. Working as part of a multi-talented global team of Communication Specialists, Change Management Specialists, Creative Specialists, Creative Designers and Videographers, you will be responsible for helping shape, create, and amplify our VG & Media’s voice as part of our transformation. You will also work closely with our Change Management Specialists that are implementing change strategies that drive adoption for new services and products that transform our services from historically grown siloed offerings to an integrated global service offering. Furthermore, you’ll have opportunity to assist in the development of the team’s communication skills (strategic, written, interpersonal), knowledge and capabilities through identification and dissemination of best practices and the design and implementation of awareness-building initiatives.
What You'll Do
You will be based in our Tampa shared service location and be a member of the Global Visual Graphics & Media's Adoption & Communication Team. You have an exceptional writing, marketing, and story-telling expertise, as well as strong knowledge of complex business concepts to draft clear storylines quickly and succinctly.
You will be primarily tasked with creating and implementing our Transformation change story and engagement strategy to our customers. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the perception of VG & Media through proactive and dynamic communications approaches. You will develop insightful marketing communication strategies and campaigns that engage our customers. You will manage the implementation of those communication strategies, including overseeing the day-to-day communication needs which includes impactful storytelling, high-quality writing and editing support across all internal communication vehicles.
You will be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal communications skills with the ability to prioritize and adopt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, communication specialists should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated, with a keen interest in driving persuasive strategic messages to key internal role players. You will also need proactive stakeholder management skills, a client service-oriented mindset, and strong interest in developing and implementing global communications program that drive engagement. You will manage the production of cutting-edge content, develop innovative campaigns to engage our customers.
The role requires a broad range of communications and project and people management skills; exceptional proactive skills as a subject matter expert on communications; the ability to be strategic, but also execute; the ability to work well in teams; creativity and innovation in communications delivery (“big ideas”); exceptional writing ability; and a strong interest in developing and implementing communications campaigns that drive reputational shift.
Specific key responsibilities include:
- Providing communications and support to our Transformation change campaign team, to execute an innovative, attention-generating campaign that advances our reputation across our range of internal channels
- Defining and measuring progress against a set of clear metrics
- Identifying and cultivating a pipeline of opportunities to proactively drive increases in share of voice and perception through stories, research, and announcements
- Provide input along with creative and strategic support to design partnership opportunities with the potential for outsized reputational impact
- Working with subject matter expert colleagues to create a wide variety of effective content (stories, blog posts, social media posts, videos, podcasts, emails, posters, etc.), also taking personal ownership of substantial portions of the creative production
- Managing and executing a production and distribution schedule for storytelling and research content, in coordination with colleagues publishing, media, and external relations
- Preparing engaging, captivating presentations to support speaking opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism/public relations, marketing, business, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate/internal communication, journalism, or public relations; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience driving an integrated storytelling and messaging campaign to shape reputation and perception
- Experience preparing and executing measurable, results-oriented communication plans and change management strategies, principles, methodologies, and tools
- Change Management Certification (ProSci) a plus
- Deep knowledge of communication strategies, campaigns and approaches
- The ability to absorb rapidly and grapple with a wide range of complex issues
- Strategic thinking, with strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills, and the ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy and efficiency
- Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills and a track record of working effectively and forming peer-level relationships with senior members of an organization
- Exceptional writing skills, and in particular, the ability to write in different styles to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience and message
- Experience with current web practices, supporting technologies, new media (including social media and viral messaging)
- An uncompromising commitment to quality – detail oriented but able to see the big picture
- Flexibility to travel globally, attend events as required and to work, if needed, outside of standard office hours
- Self-motivated, with an appetite for working entrepreneurially and a track record as self-starter
- Team orientation, with a strong sense of commitment to team members and client impact
