Who You'll Work With

You will join one of our offices in North America as part of McKinsey's Ethics and Compliance group, whose mission is to drive holistic trust, protect our firm while enabling impact, and support our colleagues to serve with the highest integrity. The Ethics and Compliance group is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm.
This role reports to the Compliance Manager of Client Service Compliance (CSC) Monitoring.

What You'll Do

You will play a key role in developing firm-wide ethics and compliance capabilities by supporting the implementation of a comprehensive monitoring program that evaluates compliance with regard to our client service policy and related standards. You will be instrumental in selecting samples, reviewing documentation, conducting testing, assessing non-compliance, developing outcome reports, and supporting remediation efforts. You will also implement the CSC Monitoring program within at least one region.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from the firm’s risk and legal groups, staying abreast of updates from these groups while ensuring cross-functional communication related to CSC Monitoring testing efforts. You will contribute to the development of solutions tailored to the unique needs of our firm, and you will be expected to collaborate with a varied set of stakeholders across all firm functions on the programmatic needs of the firm while also being a pivotal contributor to the overall change management process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or certifications are preferred (e.g., JD or CPA)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in risk, ethics, compliance and/or governance in a large organization
  • 2+ years testing internal controls, conducting compliance audits, or monitoring compliance programs
  • Analytical mindset
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to challenge and influence at various levels of the organization with confidence
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution
  • Experience working in highly dynamic cross-functional and global teams
