Proposal Specialist, Global Travel, Logistics and Infrastructure Practice

Who You'll Work With

In this temporary maternity cover role (until ~June 2024) you will manage the Travel, Logistics & Infrastructure (TLI) Client Development Hub based in Europe. You will be based in our Poznan, Poland office together with our TLI Client Activation and Client Capabilities team.
You will work closely with the global and regional Client Activation managers and the regional TLI leaders as well as the extended TLI practice team including Finance, Reach & Engagement & People.
The TLI practice helps clients solve their toughest challenges when it comes to travel, i.e. getting people from one place to another and the logistics of moving goods around the world. They also advise clients on the best ways to build and maintain the infrastructure (airports, ports, roads, railroads) needed for these activities. Our aspiration is to help our clients be more efficient and sustainable.
You will also be part of the broader Client Activation ecosystem for coaching, best practice exchange, learning and community building.

What You'll Do

You will work with the TLI leadership to drive the client development agenda. The scope and responsibilities of this role are not static and will evolve over time.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive client development activities
  • Drive ad-hoc analyses and prepare introductory client discussion materials for CSTs to support their client development effort (including pulling in the right experts or advisors)
  • Support the client outreach for assets (e.g. GRB, RoadX, RailX) by advising on which CSTs/clients to approach and tailoring asset collateral to client/local needs for CST and client outreach (and ensuring follow-up as needed) and coordinate with the TLI Solutions team within Power Solutions.
  • Coordinate the creation and where needed create tailored content for proposal or client discussions
  • Keep track of hot topics or capabilities from outside TLI that can be relevant and proactively push them to the most relevant CSTs (e.g. Orpheus, Candid, Sustainability)
  • Coach colleagues on best practices
Advise CSTs on client development best practices and resources(e.g., CD assets, experts, other sector hubs, senior advisors, go & sees).
Drive deployment of client activation tools in TLI.Ensure TLI leaders and client activation managers are aware of the latest tools (e.g. client contact heatmap, whitespace data, etc.) and support deployment of those tools.
Support campaigns around underserved or white space clients.Work with client activation managers and regional leaders on identifying opportunities and helping develop and execute client development campaigns.
Support global capabilities directorin coordinating regional TLI hubs and in disseminating best practices.
Possibly take over the staffing of the Europe CDH from the Europe Client Activation manager. Manage the Blue currency budget for the CDH and ensure CST coaching of the staffed CDH members. 

Qualifications

  • Academic credentials should include strong undergraduate degree and demonstrable intellectual curiosity through professional training or professional impact
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional services environment is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and process management skills; ability to work independently, prioritize and organize appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Proven strong analytical problem-solving skills – working on complex, sensitive, time-critical issues, quickly getting up-to-speed on unfamiliar topics
  • Strong personal presence and credibility; positive, diplomatic, excellent judgment, good instincts; ability to communicate clearly, in a mature and confident manner, even under pressure and especially when working with senior leaders
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills: impeccable writing; excellent listening; affinity for creative, visual design
  • Highly collaborative attitude and interest, and aptitude for working as part of a global team
  • Self-motivated, with an appetite for working entrepreneurially and a track record as self-starter with a learning mindset
  • Comfort with ambiguity and flexibility as priorities shift
  • Hands on with Excel, PowerPoint, Box
