Who You'll Work With

You will report to the global leader of Client Activation and work closely with relevant senior partner sponsors. You will have direct leadership accountability for insights and intelligence delivered to firm leaders (and underlying data quality). You’ll collaborate with functional leaders across Client Capabilities, People Analytics, Pricing & Arrangements, Technology, and Finance.
You will support our firm strategy and client mission with distinctive and proactive analytics, insights, intelligence, and reporting. You will lead and develop a true enterprise analytics organization composed of talented data, analytics, and intelligence colleagues. You will directly and regularly engage with Industry/Capability leaders, practice leaders, office managers, senior leadership team, and the Shareholders Council Client Committee.

What You'll Do

You will shape our client and competitive analytics and insights vision, strategy, and future roadmap to align with our client activation and client service ambitions and priorities. You will lead service delivery to our senior stakeholders.
You'll lead our global client analytics and competitive intelligence teams (~25 colleagues) as an integrated, end-to-end intelligence and analytics capability with our Client Activation function. This team will arm senior leaders with actionable insights to make informed decisions across all stages of our client relationships. Your teams will design, build and own a suite of analytics “products” - some in “production” phase with planned releases, others in pilot, others to be developed. In addition, you will prioritize strategic projects and analytical requests to ensure quality delivery of most pressing insights. You will lead the architecture, stewardship, and day-to-day management of all client data on behalf of our firm (e.g., quality of client master data).
Example areas of focus include:
  • Developing and implementing a data analytics and insights strategy and roadmap that supports firm objectives, as well as those of individual regions and sectors, and enables revenue growth and operational efficiency
  • Building and operating a connected analytics and insights capability that translates high-quality data and intelligence across all stages of our client development and client relationship lifecycle into clear, well-structured communication and insights (e.g., market/opportunity, relationships and impact, priorities and coverage, offerings and execution, resourcing, and investments, etc.)
  • Radiating insights across the firm, building conviction and understanding across the partnership, and establishing the team as the source for client/competitive insights & intelligence
  • Investigating and developing a scalable approach to expanded client data collection (e.g., client feedback, client stakeholders), analysis, and strategic deployment – prioritizing both overall initiative strategy and necessary supporting technology platforms
  • Day-to-day operational leadership and management of core teams and services (e.g., client feedback, executive intelligence, etc.)
  • Engaging frequently with senior stakeholders to shape new or existing use cases, determine relevant analytic approaches, identify or address risks, and ensure buy-in and alignment
  • Identifying and advancing new areas of inquiry and topics (e.g., internal priorities, external trends) that are critical to advancing our client mission
  • On behalf of the global firm, overseeing our client data infrastructure, processes, and governance to ensure high-fidelity data, appropriate risk policies, and access & decision rights

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • 10+ years of leadership experience leading cross-functional, global teams and strong track record of delivering operational impact while leading complex, strategic initiatives 
  • Deep industry experience in growth, commercial analytics & operations, marketing & sales, or similar field – preferably in a B2B services environment and/or experience leading a business intelligence function that has delivered demonstrated impact vs. business goals 
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing the full product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch activities 
  • Previous record of delivering impact across a broad portfolio, with focus and fluency in translating analysis into action; must be a natural simplifier who is able to translate the complex into audience-appropriate digestible and practical insight 
  • Experience building and managing a team of analysts and collaborating with engineers, data scientists, machine learning practitioners to deliver distinctive products and solutions 
  • Proven ability to integrate external best practices and innovations in a culturally effective way, creativity to spot opportunities and independently drive new ideas
