The Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice strives to help clients in both consumer and business-to-business environments on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. Our clients benefit from our experience in core areas of sales and marketing topics such as sales and channel management, branding, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, customer lifecycle management, and pricing. Our Practice offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of sales, marketing, and solutions consulting. What You'll Do

You will leverage Periscope® by McKinsey platform and firm assets to create a sustainable impact and ensure the client's success. You will often work on more than one project at any point in time and will be at the core of bridging client business challenges with Periscope’s capabilities.
As a Data Manager, you will work closely with Periscope leadership to define, set-up, and manage the data delivery processes and tools.
You will lead a team of data delivery analysts to determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations and applications; reviewing objectives with clients and evaluating current systems.
You will develop complex algorithms in different query language to query complex data sets, based on discussions with client and the service delivery team. You will run data engineering pipelines, link raw client data with data model, conduct data assessment, perform data quality checks, and transform data using data transformation tools.
You will perform data transformations, modeling, and validation activities, as well as configure applications to the client context. You will also develop scripts to validate, transform, and load raw data using programming languages such as Python or PySpark.
You will design and drive the work plan for the optimization/automation and standardization of the processes incorporating best practices to achieve efficiency gains.
Given the pace of this role, you will develop cross-site relationships to enhance idea generation, and manage stakeholders. You will also coach and mentor junior team members by sharing business, functional and technical expertise. Lastly, you will collaborate with the team to support ongoing business processes by delivering high-quality end products and quality checks wherever required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/master's degree 
  • 8+ years years of relevant and professional work experience as a data architect/data delivery manager having executed end to end project development implementations 
  • Strong Expertise in SQL/related databases and architecting data warehouses & system integration best practices 
  • Strong understanding of data lake concepts and coding/development abilities in the field of data manipulation and ETL 
  • Expertise in Databricks, Python/ PySpark for data processing and performance optimization in handling large amounts of data  
  • Extensive design, execution and automation experience in end-to-end data project implementation 
  • Experience working in cloud technologies such as Azure and Amazon Web Services 
  • Strong coaching & team building & mentoring capabilities  
  • Experience overseeing the data stream of multiple projects including client deployment, integration & migration 
  • Ability to act autonomously, bringing structure and organization to work 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Able to act as a thought-partner to clients, client project teams, leaders and partners. 
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership and action-oriented mindset
