Project Finance Controller

Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our McKinsey Poznan office as part of our global Client Finance team.
You will act as a finance point of contact for various stakeholders - partners and senior partners, finance managers and directors - and collaborate with colleagues from the local Poznan and other European and non-European offices.
Working in a team supporting different geographies will allow you to learn from colleagues’ expertise and understand the financial context of our clients' work across multiple regions. This collaboration will oftentimes help you identify opportunities for alignment and therefore make you the driver of change on a global scale.

What You'll Do

You will have an immediate impact on the firm's engagement economics, finance processes as well as tools we use on a daily basis.
In this role, you will manage clients’ budgets and ensure the accurate cost allocations in our financial system. You will monitor the time spent on the projects as well as other project-related costs (travel, accommodation, etc.). You will verify whether those expenses stay in line with the clients' agreements and firm guidelines. If needed, you will address inconsistencies to the partners and senior partners and propose solutions.
You will build long-term relationships with many stakeholders and act as an expert helping consultants think strategically through their budget plans and partner with them on long-term client programs.
As a people-first firm, we offer a competitive salary, plus an exceptional benefits package that includes:
  • Additional annual payment based on firm performance
  • Private healthcare coverage for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children including medical, dental, and mental health
  • Life and business travel accident insurance
  • Learning programs (including unlimited access to e-learning courses), coaching/mentorship opportunities, and feedback culture
  • Comprehensive onboarding to your new role
  • Professional development opportunities for career growth across the firm
  • Colleague benefit system with options such as fitness card, travel vouchers, tickets for cultural events and activities, reimbursement for kindergarten, and many others
  • Pre-paid card to use for meals and/or groceries
  • Snacks, drinks, and fruits at the office
  • Office leisure space: office library, chill-out rooms with massage chairs, entertainment room with a game console, billiard, and foosball
  • Diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment with office-and firm-wide initiatives and communities (charities, sports teams, LGBTQ+, and more)
  • Informal dress code
  • Guarded bicycle parking
  • And more
