Translator/Interpreter
Who You'll Work With
You will be based in our Seoul, Korea office and work closely with the McKinsey consulting team as part of the Translator & Interpretation team.
You will work with various consultants and clients, playing an active role in all aspects of document translation and client meeting interpretation.
What You'll Do
Your main responsibility will be to provide high-quality translation and interpretation services to support senior partners and partners in their client-facing meetings. This will require not only excellent language skills, but also strong meeting preparation and IT skills to support consultants in their preparation for the meeting.
In addition, you will also be responsible for translating documents with tight deadlines in between meetings. This will require a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
This role is for a 24-month contract.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English interpretation and translation preferred
- 2+ years of experience (preferably in private sector)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping agreed upon deadlines
- Able to handle various IT settings, including Zoom, Teams, Webex and translation machines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Available to travel within Korea and abroad
