Finance Analyst (US GAAP) - Corporate Tax
Who You'll Work With
A part of McKinsey's firm-wide Corporate Tax Team is based in Gurgaon. The team is working on several projects that need accounting and tax expertise on a regular basis. You will be focusing on assisting the US GAAP tax provision accounting processes as well as providing support to ASC 740 reconciliations, Effective Tax Rate Reconciliation, and Return to Provision analysis.
What You'll Do
You will be working on accounting for world-wide tax provision (current and deferred tax) in the consolidated US GAAP financials statements, preparing quarterly estimates of tax provision for financial reporting and finalizing the tax provision true ups. You will take care of the preparation of GL Accounts reconciliation for statutory reporting and audit process, including detailed review of Corporate Tax receivable and payable balances.
You would also support the process of compilation of book to tax differences for all firm entities for deferred and current tax computations. This includes review of tax returns and coordination with various tax experts, office finance teams and advisors in certain countries. You will support the US statutory audit process related to global tax provision, finalizing the notes to accounts relevant to taxes, documentation of processes followed, and work performed, and other tax accounting related tasks as assigned on a time-to-time basis.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant with 1+ years (post-qualification)
- Accounting and reconciliation experience in a reputed MNC or an accounting firm is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident and collaborative team player
- Initiative and desire to excel
- Strong accounting and basic tax knowledge
- Ability to develop relationships and network
- Attention to detail; tenacious in following up
- Ability to handle large amount of data
