Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; JD or master’s degree helpful but not required
- 8+ years’ professional experience in risk, compliance, legal and/or professional services, with a preference for experience in the banking industry
- Demonstrated record of subject matter expertise in key subject areas (e.g., banking regulatory, organizational and staffing conflicts, regulatory risk, privacy, and reputational risk)
- Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage complex, sensitive and time-critical issues and to handle ambiguity
- Demonstrated track record managing multiple priorities; strong project and time management skills
- Strong personal presence and credibility, cultivates trust-based, counselor relationships with aptitude for consensus-building
- Solutions-oriented and resilient; comfortable engaging in challenging discussions with senior colleagues, balancing robustness and persistence with diplomacy, flexibility and tact
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including ability to craft clear, concise, and pragmatic work product catered to specific internal audiences
- A collaborative and cooperative mindset toward working with various stakeholders, including colleagues in CSR, other professional functions, and client-facing teams

A reasonable estimate of the range for new joiners for this role in the United States is $152,300 - $223,300. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's assigned office location, experience and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey�s discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
