Who You'll Work With
You will be based in our Lima office as part of our Latin America finance team for 6 months (with possibilities of extension). You will work directly with the Lima finance team and contacting some consultants. You will also have constant interaction with the finance teams abroad on Spanish Latin America and global accounting and tax teams in India.
This is a part-time internship (30 hours per week, 6 hours per day)
What You'll Do
As a Finance Intern, you will provide analytical support and perform activities for our local finance team.
In this role, you will focus on accounts analysis for local and corporate accounting, upload reimbursements invoices, fill out questionaries and gather suppliers approval information to face client´s audits, gather documentation for projects to support local taxes applications, among other support activities of Finance area, that could be related to personnel administration, treasury, etc.
You will gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You will receive training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on their teams.
You may have the possibility to extend your tenure at McKinsey at the close of this 6-month internship opportunity.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a university degree mainly in accounting, but also could be in business, economics, engineering and analytics related areas with expected graduation until 2025
- General knowledge of finance (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
- Intermediate skills in Excel (VLOOKUP and pivot table)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work on multiple activities at the same time
- Able to communicate in English
