Who You'll Work With
You’ll work in one of our Greater China offices as part of McKinsey’s Industrial IoT Hub.
This group aims to help client unlock the enormous potential of the Internet of Things. Our value proposition spans the full product life cycle, ranging from data diagnostic to pilot, strategy, solution implementation, and ongoing operation. We focus on delivering end-to-end Industrial IoT transformations, integrated across functions.
We cover the entire operations value chain across the following five core functions:
- Procurement;
- Manufacturing;
- Supply chain and inventory control;
- Design-to-value;
- Service operations automation.
Within each function, we deliver dedicated operational excellence programs based on proven service line methodologies and analytics enhanced by digital.
We view IoT as a transformative opportunity for clients across almost all sectors. Our goal is to partner with clients to define and deliver on this transformation. This requires a hands on approach and practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in IoT. We are building capability that spans strategy, product design, digital design, hardware and software design, analytics, business planning and implementation.
Your impact within our firm
You will help clients align manufacturing strategy to overall business strategy and design and execute manufacturing transformations.
You will identify industry, business and technology / digital trends which can be applied for digital manufacturing area, such as mobility, big data, cloud, IoT and etc.
You will develop use cases for the application of specific technology elements in the client environment.
You will develop a detailed solution in digital manufacturing and evangelize the transformation and strategy across the client organization.
You will identify and problem-solve major issues to accelerate evolution into a fully “digital-capable” organization.
Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mechanical related degree
- 2+ years of working experience in in a high-performance manufacturing environment
- Knowledge in lean, digital manufacturing experience is preferred
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people at all levels in an organization
- Fluent in English and Mandarin a must
