Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Dallas or Chicago Office and will be part of our Wave team, a part of the McKinsey Transformation Practice. You will enable large-scale Transformation and change programs through Wave, a cloud-based program management solution, in combination with other tech-enabled assets.

Wave empowers teams to drive performance and ensures superior implementation and value delivery. Its mix of intuitive technology and underpinned McKinsey advisory enables clients to track the progress and performance of initiatives against business goals, budget, and timeframes, powering Transformation delivery and sustained change.

We are looking for team members who are excited about the scale and scope of impact to readily drive organizational change. As a Senior Software Delivery Analyst, you will partner with leadership teams to deploy Wave, advise clients on best practices, and help them achieve holistic impact. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with a wide array of clients across industries and will have access to McKinsey’s world class training programs and experts to develop deep Transformation expertise and best-in-class business acumen.

Your impact within our firm

This full-time role entails a broad range of responsibilities, primarily focusing on co-leading deployment of Wave at clients. You will collaborate closely with McKinsey’s client success, product, configuration expert, and leadership teams to ensure the successful delivery of our solutions and managing ongoing client activities.

You will contribute to optimizing deployment processes, the Wave product itself, training/communications, and adapt to changing needs throughout the client lifecycle. You will be a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on best practices for setting up and utilizing Wave effectively. This includes liaising with client Finance, IT contacts, facilitating client data management – among other things. You will also help ensure that everything we deliver to clients is timely and of high quality. Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with a portfolio of clients and internal teams will also be crucial to your role.

Additionally, we will expect you to participate in internal improvement initiatives to enable client impact, proactively engage with clients on strategic topics, and bring new Wave offerings to clients. As part of these Initiatives/activities, you will work with cross-functional McKinsey teams. Furthermore, you will deliver thought leadership by staying up to speed of the product’s latest features, key use cases Wave enables, the McKinsey Transformation approach and how it relates back to Wave.

Your qualifications and skills

Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic record; MBA/graduate degree is a plus
4+ years of experience in the field of IT project management and/or Technology consulting
Experience with SaaS and/or digital products preferred; experience with software implementation (e.g., programming language) is desirable
Experience with program management and/or change management is desirable
Strong entrepreneurial drive and sense of ownership with a keen interest in proactively building McKinsey’s Wave solution
Commitment to delivering exceptional results
Clear oral and written communication skills to present complex value propositions to senior client executives, participate in challenging problem-solving sessions, and train clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to carry out multiple tasks or projects in parallel
