Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the McKinsey Digital and will be based at one of our Greater China offices.
Digital McKinsey brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses. As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to product building, agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm. You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.

Your impact within our firm

You will work as a typical McKinsey consultant, leveraging your strong passion for digital work.
In a team of typically ~3-5 consultants, you will shape and drive end-to-end digital transformations across business, technology, process and people, creating value by reinventing the core of our client's businesses.
This work includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.
You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from your team. This support includes a Partner assigned to you to help guide your career as well as formal training throughout your McKinsey career. Additionally, you'll receive guidance and support from our Partners and professional development team in the selection of client projects, helping you to develop your skills and build your network.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Undergraduate degree with outstanding record of academic achievement is required; advanced degree or MBA is advantageous
  • 4+ years of work experience in: eCommerce operation, omni-channel management, new retail, user growth and operation, etc.
  • Outstanding records of professional achievement within a consulting firm is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of customer insights from any business sector (e.g., consumer, retail, B2B, eCommerce platforms or 3rd party service providers, etc.)
  • Combination of strong strategic and analytical abilities with a passion for technology
  • Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and Chinese
